Use Your Stuff - Challenge #277

The challenge this week is back to school, back to work. Vacation is over and it’s back to real life and regular daily rhythm, be it school / college / work / new job. Any medium and any format, ATC, icad, layout, greeting card or journal page.  Our grandsons Carter and Cole live in Arkansas and therefore go back to school much earlier than we do here in Pennsylvania.  So I did a layout showing them on their first day of school.  It's hard to believe that Cole is now in first grade and Carter is in second grade.  They are going so quickly!! I used old October Afternoon and Basic Grey for this page.  I hope you come join us at Use Your Stuff

I absolutely loved this sketch by Laura Whitaker and the free diagonal flowers cut file.  I couldn't wait to give this sketch a try and love how it turned out.

Be My Burger

My title is a fun take on the song "Be My Baby" by the Ronettes. I thought it was perfect for our visit to Michael Symon's restaurant B Spot in Strongsville, Ohio.  I loved the burger with the fried egg on top even though my hubby thought it looked disgusting!  I used the fantastic August sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Sketch~N~Scrap Sketch #135

Today SNS introduces a new sketch and this is my take on the fabulous sketch by Heather Hall. This past March my stepson, Cameron came to town from Oklahoma for a short visit.  Since it was almost St. Patrick's Day, we had to meet at Molly Maguire's for some yummy food and an adult beverage. I fussy cut the shamrocks from an older Echo Park collection.

Use Your Stuff Challenge #275: For the Love of Children

The challenge at Use Your Stuff was to do a project for or about children.  I did this layout for my granddaughter, Emma.  When she was younger, she took this little  pup who she named Lucky with her everywhere!  In 2010 she even got him his own backpack and composition book when she took him to school on her first day of third grade. These are the types of memories I want to capture for her to look back on as she gets older (she will be entering 10th grade in September - YIKES!).

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #103

Welcome to another fantastic card sketch by Heather Hall. Since my husband's birthday is coming up a little later this month, I thought this was the perfect sketch to make a birthday card for him.  Who's to say there can't be flower's on a masculine card?  However, I didn't use pretty pink flowers on his card but used more "manly" flowers! LOL!!!

Sketch~N~Scrap Sketch #134

Welcome to another fabulous sketch by Lisa Hidy at Sketch N Scrap

I used mostly KaiserCraft Daydreamer on my layout of my funny granddaughter, Paige from Thanksgiving 2016.  Once she got her hands on my bigger Nikon camera, she was taking shots of everyone - including herself.  The enamel dots are from October Afternoon Daily Flash and the puffy stickers are from Crate Paper Cute Girl.

This layout is also for my August Manufacturer Challenge at A Cherry on Top using the letters O and K.
