Use Your Stuff - Week April 24th

This week is my first time hosting a challenge at Use Your Stuff.  My challenge is to use circles on your project  There are so many options for creating circles - hand drawn, stitched, punched, die cuts, or cut files to name a few. I've used a cut file from Paper Issues and backed each circle with a piece of patterned paper from the Fancy Pants Joy Parade 6x6 paper pad. This photo is of me with my daughters, Stacie and Andrea and granddaughter, Emma.

Use Your Stuff - my first challenge

I am so excited to become a member of the Use Your Stuff Design Team.  There are so many fun challenges every month.  My first challenge as a team member is to use flowers.  I used lots of different types of flowers:  rub-on flowers, die-cut flowers, little planner paper flowers and even some of the sequins are flowers.

Here are some close ups of the flowers I used.

April Sketches in Thyme Reveal Sketch #271

Today I am sharing this fabulous sketch by Brenshevia and my take on the sketch.  I used a chevron cut file and backed them with a piece of pretty Pink Paislee patterned paper.  These lovelies are my granddaughter, Paige and her cheer buddies.

A Cherry on Top April Challenge

This month the ACOT hostesses decided to play an April Fool's joke on the members and switch the challenges we normally host.  So instead of the Manufacturer Challenge, I am hosting the Cherry Lift Challenge.  I decided to lift the fabulous StacyLee who normally hosts the Cherry Lift Challenge. I used lots of Fancy Pants and Prima.

Here is my layout:

And this is Stacy's layout that I lifted.:

March A Cherry on Top Manufacturer Challenge

This month one of the Cherries requested the letter B - so I chose to use a beautiful collection from Bo Bunny.  The photo is of me and my granddaughter, Emma at Easter a few years ago. I hope my scrappy friends come join me at ACOT for a chance to win a GC from me!

Challenge #4 Love Yourself

Challenge #5 Sketch Challenge

I used a sketch I found on Pinterest by Sandy Liles.

Retirement - YAY!!

I finally retired from my former company, Archway Marketing and my last day was December 29, 2016.  My co-workers threw me a retirement luncheon and this was a photo taken during the festivities.  This Fancy Pants Joy Parade collection was absolutely PERFECT.

Welcome to 2017 - a new year of scrappy goodness

My first layout of 2017 is for the A Cherry on Top monthly Manufacturer Challenge that I host.  I chose the word RETIRED (since my official first day of retirement will be January 3rd) where the participants can chose as many manufacturers that start with those letters.

I used Echo Park "Anything Goes" and The Twinery charcoal twine.  The layout features my granddaughter, Emma at one of her races this past autumn.  She had some bike malfunctions but still managed to finish the race.  I am so proud of her.

I am also honored to be helping with the ACOT 30/30 Challenge hosted by Sara M. and will be posting challenges o every Wednesday during the month of January.
