Sketch N Scrap - July 1st Sketch #132

I am so excited and honored to share this sketch from Sketch N Scrap with you today.  It is my first as a member of the SNS Design Team.  I loved this sketch and knew I wanted to use photos of our recent trip to visit my hubby's family.  This is him with his two sisters. There were originally nine children and only these three remain.  I love them all so much.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #307

I loved this sketch from Creative Scrappers - it was perfect for photos from our recent trip to Ohio.  On a beautiful sunny day, we visited Marblehead Lighthouse on Lake Erie. Unfortunately due to our tired old bodies (LOL!!) we didn't even attempt to climb to the top of the lighthouse.  But it was such a beautiful day, we enjoyed the scenery and the cool breeze off the lake.

Stuck ?! Sketches June 15th

I have always loved the sketches at Stuck ?! Sketches but this is the first time I'm actually using one of the sketches and posting before the deadline!  LOL!!!  I did a scraplift of Kelly Barron's layout using some of the same Maggie Holmes goodies that she did.  I just couldn't resist!!!  This photo was taken on our 29th wedding anniversary on June 11, 2017.  We were in Cleveland and went to my favorite chef, Michael Symon's restaurant, Lola.

Use Your Stuff - Challenge # 269 - A Road Trip! Vacation layout or card

Happy Monday - today I bring you a fantastic challenge from Use Your Stuff.  This challenge couldn't have come at a better time for me since we took a road trip to Toledo, Ohio earlier this month.  Along way we stopped in Cleveland, Ohio for two nights and visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the house from the movie, The Christmas Story and we had dinner on June 11th to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary at Lola (Michael Symon's restaurant). We had a great time and can't wait to go back again.

Good evening!  I am thrilled to say we have chosen our newest design team members for the Summer-Winter 2017 term!  Thank you to all who applied, it was a very hard decision to just pick a few.  We had so many very talented people apply it made the decision a very hard one!  So without further ado here is our Summer/Winter 2017 Blog Design team:

My name is Christine (Chris) and I am recently retired. I have been married to my wonderful husband since June 1988 and between us we have a blended family of four children and five grandchildren.  I have been scrapping for almost 17 years and I have the stash to prove it!  My scrappy style has changed quite a bit over the years - I started with 8 1/2" x 11" single pages, moved to 12" x 12" double pages and now I mostly scrap 12" x 12" single pages.  I am super excited to be a new member of the Sketch N Scrap Design Team.  I love sketches and look forward to sharing my layouts and cards with everyone.  You can find me at  My Blog or on Instagram @chriscassidy84.
