Happy Fall Y'all - Stuck?!Sketches

Now that I'm retired, I finally have time to do some fall decorating outside.  This is what I've done in the corner of our front porch.  The October 15th  Stuck?!Sketches sketch was perfect for my photo and the Echo Park A Perfect Autumn was the perfect fall collection to use.

I'm loving using the fantastic Echo Park A Perfect Autumn collection.  The photo is my daughter Andrea, her boyfriend Jim and his daughter Alexa.  What a beautiful and perfect Autumn Day!

Use Your Stuff - October 9th Challenge

I am hosting this week's challenge at Use Your Stuff.  Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to do a challenge to use PINK and a layout about my mother who had and beat breast cancer twice.  This is my layout about my mom who passed away at age 99 in December 2015.

Sketches in Thyme October 1-7 Sketch

Welcome to a new sketch on Sketches in Thyme. This fabulous sketch by the talented Brenshevia is for the first week in October.  I had fun with the sunburst and using a photo of our beautiful granddaughter, Paige.  Although she has been doing competitive cheer for several years, this is her first year cheering for her high school, Pennridge.  I hope you come join us at Sketches in Thyme for a chance to win a fabulous prize.

Sketch N Scrap - Sketch #138

Welcome to October and welcome to a new sketch at Sketch N Scrap by the fabulous Lisa Hidy.  I had fun with the sketch and used very recent photos from our vacation in Ocean City MD in mid-September.  We tried a new restaurant (for us) because several of our friends highly recommended it and I'm so glad we did.  It was so much fun sitting outside and enjoying the fantastic view and food.  I can't wait to go back again next year!  I hope you join us at Sketch N Scrap and play along for a chance to win a fantastic prize.

Stuck?!Sketches - September 15th Sketch

Wow - another fantastic sketch for the second half of September so I had to play along.  I also used this for the A Cherry on Top Pet Challenge to use non-pet/animals related products on a page about a pet.  The pet featured in my layout is my daughter and her boyfriend's dog, Willie.  They love taking him on he boat in the summer and he loves it!

Love This - The ScrapRoom September Sketch

Another fabulous sketch at The ScrapRoom this month.  I used the July Hip Kit Club and photos of our recent vacation.  We stopped in Dewey Beach DE where my daughter, her boyfriend and their little dog were spending a long weekend to have lunch with them on our way to a week in Ocean City MD.

Best Friends - Stuck?! Sketches September 1st Sketch Challenge

I loved this sketch and I used some mixed media background using the packaging technique along with lots of branding strips/papers from the beautiful July Hip Kit Club kit. Photo is my granddaughter and her BFF, Jillian on vacation in Turks and Caicos this summer.

Sketch N Scrap Sketch #137

Today we have another layout sketch by the fabulous Heather Hall.  I used a much older photo of our granddaughter, Paige.  She has just turned 15 and is still as sassy as she was when this photo was taken. I hope you join us at Sketch N Scrap and play along for a chance to win a wonderful prize!

Use Your Stuff Challenge #279: Fall is in the Air

For my granddaughter, Emma, Fall means the start of her favorite sport - Cyclocross.  She makes us all so proud of her hard work and determination.  She continues to move up in the ranks and races against women (and she is not quite 16) with much more experience that she has.

I hope you come join us at Use Your Stuff and show us your Fall creations.

Sketches in Thyme Sketch #291

Welcome to this week's sketch by the fantastic Shawn Lahr.  I had previously printed this photo of Emma from several years ago in 5X7 so it was perfect for this sketch.  She is still my fabulous
sweetheart!  I hope you come join us at Sketches in Thyme

Sketch N Scrap Sketch #136

Today there is a new sketch by Lisa Hidy and this is my take on the sketch.  There are so many possibilities using this sketch but I decided to use a background piece of paper by Pink Fresh Studio that already had a striped background and added a piece to the top and bottom.  For my "banner" I used a chipboard piece from the Crate Paper Cute Girl collection.  I hope you come join the fun at Sketch N Scrap.

Use Your Stuff - Challenge #277

The challenge this week is back to school, back to work. Vacation is over and it’s back to real life and regular daily rhythm, be it school / college / work / new job. Any medium and any format, ATC, icad, layout, greeting card or journal page.  Our grandsons Carter and Cole live in Arkansas and therefore go back to school much earlier than we do here in Pennsylvania.  So I did a layout showing them on their first day of school.  It's hard to believe that Cole is now in first grade and Carter is in second grade.  They are going so quickly!! I used old October Afternoon and Basic Grey for this page.  I hope you come join us at Use Your Stuff

Be My Burger

My title is a fun take on the song "Be My Baby" by the Ronettes. I thought it was perfect for our visit to Michael Symon's restaurant B Spot in Strongsville, Ohio.  I loved the burger with the fried egg on top even though my hubby thought it looked disgusting!  I used the fantastic August sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Sketch~N~Scrap Sketch #135

Today SNS introduces a new sketch and this is my take on the fabulous sketch by Heather Hall. This past March my stepson, Cameron came to town from Oklahoma for a short visit.  Since it was almost St. Patrick's Day, we had to meet at Molly Maguire's for some yummy food and an adult beverage. I fussy cut the shamrocks from an older Echo Park collection.

Use Your Stuff Challenge #275: For the Love of Children

The challenge at Use Your Stuff was to do a project for or about children.  I did this layout for my granddaughter, Emma.  When she was younger, she took this little  pup who she named Lucky with her everywhere!  In 2010 she even got him his own backpack and composition book when she took him to school on her first day of third grade. These are the types of memories I want to capture for her to look back on as she gets older (she will be entering 10th grade in September - YIKES!).

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #103

Welcome to another fantastic card sketch by Heather Hall. Since my husband's birthday is coming up a little later this month, I thought this was the perfect sketch to make a birthday card for him.  Who's to say there can't be flower's on a masculine card?  However, I didn't use pretty pink flowers on his card but used more "manly" flowers! LOL!!!

Sketch~N~Scrap Sketch #134

Welcome to another fabulous sketch by Lisa Hidy at Sketch N Scrap

I used mostly KaiserCraft Daydreamer on my layout of my funny granddaughter, Paige from Thanksgiving 2016.  Once she got her hands on my bigger Nikon camera, she was taking shots of everyone - including herself.  The enamel dots are from October Afternoon Daily Flash and the puffy stickers are from Crate Paper Cute Girl.

This layout is also for my August Manufacturer Challenge at A Cherry on Top using the letters O and K.

Creative Scrappers Sketch 308

I loved this sketch from Creative Scrappers and jumped on the chance to use this sweet photo of Emma from several years ago. I used an older Hip Kit Club featuring PinkFresh Studio and some exclusive Hip Kit papers.

Christmas in July

I have so many Christmas photos that I haven't scrapped yet.  Now that my granddaughters are a little older, they don't get together at Christmas and  I don't get as many I'm going back to some photos from a few years ago and used a Hip Kit Club collection from a few years ago and pulling them all together.  I am using the fantastic July sketch from The ScrapRoom and a challenge from A Cherry on Top (Christmas in July).
