Stuck?!Sketches - Decmeber 1st sketch

Thank goodness I finally found the time to work on this fantastic sketch.  I dug deep down in my Christmas photos and found these two from 1974 and 1975. My younger daughter, Andrea was always terrified of Santa and finally gave up.  My older daughter, Stacie on the other hand was always very outgoing and loved visiting Santa.

Welcome to another fabulous sketch at Sketch~N~Scrap.  I punched stars using three different punches and die cut some additional stars using my Big Shot.  The photo is my granddaughter, Emma many years ago.  She's now 16 and doesn't come to our house to play dress up any longer!!

Use Your Stuff Challenge - Christmas is coming!

This week's challenge at Use Your Stuff is to create a project with Christmas as your inspiration.  I dug pretty deep into my stash for some of the elements on my layout.  I used non-traditional papers and traditional accents.  I stenciled the red paper with white stars to coordinate with the stars on my background paper.  I even dug deep into my pre-printed photos and used two from Christmas 2007.

The ScrapRoom December

I just can't get enough of the fantastic sketches that The ScrapRoom Blog posts each month and December was no exception.  My granddaughter, Paige loves coming to our house and going through the layouts I've done but not put into albums yet.  She picks out the layouts that feature her and she puts them in one of her albums. She says she wants to learn how to scrapbook, too but her busy schedule doesn't leave much time.......hopefully some day soon.

Sketches in Thyme December 1st Sketch

Hard to believe it is December but we've got another great sketch for you this week.  The sketch is by our own Bev Code and this is my take on the sketch.  The photo is my daughter's pup, Willie and it looks like he is watching for Santa!! As soon as I saw the pic, I knew this was the photo I wanted to use for the sketch.  I used some older December Daily goodies from the Hip Kit Club. I hope you come join us at Sketches in Thyme.

A perfect sketch to show my granddaughter and her friends before Homecoming - and of course I needed to use Shimelle's Glitter Girl collection. 

Use Your Stuff Challenge #290 - Heat Embossing, preferably in Gold

This week's challenge at Use Your Stuff is to do some heat embossing - preferably in gold.  So this was a good challenge for me to dig out my Elle's Studio Title Builder Stamps.  I stamped the title "Enjoying our Love" and then heat embossed with gold.

Use Your Stuff - Challenge #288 - 5 + Patterned Papers

This week's challenge at Use Your Stuff is to five or more patterned papers on your project.  I used five for my circles plus an additional one for the matting behind my photo.  I also fussy cut the tag from one more paper.  What a great way to use up stash!!

Now that I'm retired, I finally have time to do some fall decorating outside.  This is what I've done in the corner of our front porch.  The October 15th  Stuck?!Sketches sketch was perfect for my photo and the Echo Park A Perfect Autumn was the perfect fall collection to use.

I'm loving using the fantastic Echo Park A Perfect Autumn collection.  The photo is my daughter Andrea, her boyfriend Jim and his daughter Alexa.  What a beautiful and perfect Autumn Day!
